Shifty Increasing the Flash

The nature of ptossing isn't really conducive to great photo ops I'm starting to realize. If you google parkour, you'll see millions of pictures. The simplest moves--a lazy vault for instance--looks sweet as hell in pictures. It's just a cool-looking art. With ptossing, you have either do something extraordinary (iron cross, handstand on a telephone wire) to get a good shot. I've been racking my brain trying to think of ideas for great photos. It would be easier if I can a quality camera that co… Continue

Shifty What is Parkour?

Parkour, or the art of displacement, is a method of movement designed to get from point A to point B in the quickest and most efficient means possible. Parkour differs from Free Running in that it does not include flips and tricks, where in free running, it may or may not include these--free running is whatever you want it to be. Samson Knight Basic Exercise Progressions

Samson Knight How to Start Freestyling

While ptossing itself is a simple approach to effective fitness, it's freestyling that makes ptossing into an art form. It is a fantastic outlet to express yourself creatively, experience total freedom, and show off all at the same time. 1. Practice ptossing with ptasks first. Trying to start out with freestyling right off the bat can be frustrating for several possible reasons. The variety of exercises (moves) you might know is limited, or you might not be great at applying those moves as oppo… Continue

Samson Knight What the hell is ptossing?

For starters, ptossing (pronounced "tossing") is a badass new activity designed to get you into shape quickly, with great enthusiasm, and with a lot of flair. Ptossing is akin to parkour and free running (more like free running) in that you're outside and you keep running. The best ones are cool-looking e… Continue
