Philosophy

Ptossing is more than just a method of fitness; it is primarily advertised as such, but inherently contains much more. It, as an art form, strives to embody the principles below, however, it can serve as simply a means to an end--fitness--or it can be a way of life. Ptossing is very versatile and takes on the form of whatever you want it to be. It is an extension of yourself; the spirit and personality are merely channeled through the physical.

Freedom

Ptossing is a way to experience freedom. It is a way to enhance your whole being without the confines of a gym, an exercise regimen, or even self limiting beliefs. Set your own way, create your own style--create your own results.

Nature

Ptossing is a way to reconnect with nature. Fresh air is rejuvenating. Getting out once in a while is a great way to combat a stale existence. Being in the presence of beauty also destroys depression.

Expression
Creative activity could be described as a type of learning process where teacher and pupil are located in the same individual. ~ Arthur Koestler
Ptossing is a way to create. It is a way to express yourself and discover new things within yourself, to explore. You will be surprised by what other things you can do when you just let yourself go, challenge yourself a little, and experiment with whatever comes to mind.

Tolerance

Ptossing is not the only way. Ptossing is merely a way. It is open to other artistic expression, and seeks to complement other ways of doing things. There is no right or wrong way to ptoss.

Independence

There is no leadership in ptossing, only peers. No hierarchy, only helping others better themselves so that they might continue in that tradition.

Gratis

Ptossing is free. No one shall ever charge an entrance fee, nor shall they charge a fee to help you find your own style of ptossing. Anyone can ptoss.

Respect

Ptossers are respectful towards others and the environment on which they play. They do not seek to destroy or offend; if anything, they seek to help others create and inspire.

Challenge

Ptossing means always challenging yourself. Pushing yourself just a little more; by overcoming these challenges in ptossing, we can effectively carry that tradition over into other avenues of life. By actively not taking the path of least resistance we make it easier when it counts.
